Taylor and I ventured to Denver for a few days to catch up with my cousins whom we hadn't seen in almost 6 years. We had a great time and Taylor really enjoyed her time with her cousins. It was scorching hot in Denver and we can certainly appreciate our cool nights here in Montrose now. We were on the go constantly, tuckered out the little kids and the "big kids" as a matter of fact...we went to the Denver Zoo, which Taylor absolutely loved, went swimming, had our first experience with sidewalk chalk and bar-b-q'd with our cousin from Washington whom we had never met. It was so nice to see everyone, meet everyone and spend time together. It was bittersweet coming home...missed Daddy since he wasn't able to join us, missed the cool nights here in the high country, but miss family gatherings. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can do it all again.
Taylor is checking out the scene and closely keeping an eye on her cousins. She was thrilled to have someone to play with.
All the cousins and Uncle Mike/Dad/Grandpa...whatever you may know him by.
Uncle Chris showing the girls how to draw smiley faces with sidewalk chalk...Taylor was more interested in breaking the chalk and then putting it in her mouth.
Mommy & Taylor trying to enjoy a HOT afternoon on the hammock...I was trying so hard to get her to take a nap since naps were far and few between during our visit...she didn't want to miss out on any of the excitement, so she wouldn't go down for her naps. That was fine, but the evenings became very unbearable.
Taylor stealing a kiss from her cousin, Ryan. She gave him one kiss, then wanted to give him another one. I just happened to have my camera ready for this one.
