More photos....

Taylor is now 18 months old and is growing unbelievably fast. She went to the doctor last Friday for her 18 month check up. She weighed in at 25 pounds and is 32 inches tall, 50th percentile for both. She has SIX teeth coming in and hasn't been in the best mood this week. 2 of the teeth have finally broken threw her gums, but the rest are yet to appear. We are looking forward to fall and some cooler days.

New bike that Pa Pa bought me, but don't disturb me while I am eating my corn on the cob!

Bath time. Poor girl just isn't feeling well, but she still enjoyed her bath.

Shoo fly...Grandma Julie taught Taylor how to shoo flies...ever since then, she shoos them all away.

Our garden this week. Daddy and Taylor are picking beans.

Another successful harvest. Does anyone need squash or green beans? We have a ton!

Big Girl Cup

Last weekend we were eating breakfast when Taylor decided that she wanted a sip of Daddy's orange juice. After taking one sip, she decided that she was going to try and take over Chris's glass, so he poured her her own glass of OJ. Here are a few pictures from her first try at the big girl cup.

Hmm, what is this? My very own?

Yup, perfect size.

How come I can't taste anything yet? Keep tilting.....

Ahhh, half in my mouth, half down my shirt. Yummy OJ.

Look out Colorado Mammoth, here comes Taylor!!

We took Taylor to the Youth Appreciation Day in Montrose. They had an assortment of activities for the kids to do, from arts and crarts, to jumping castles, to trying out different sports. Taylor found a new love for lacrosse...I think it had something to do with the little white ball. She enjoyed the stick as well, but tried to swing it like a golf club rather than a lacrosse stick. Look out Colorado Mammoth, you may have just met your match!

Black & White

I recently discovered that my camera can take black and white photos. I was playing with the settings and decided to snap a few shots to see how they came out. Looks pretty good to me. Poor Taylor, now we will have color photos AND black and white photos.

Snack time.

Picture with a mouth full of raisins!

Playing at the park.

Say chhhheeeeezzzz!

Mmmmmm, food!

Oh, the fun of meals with a toddler. Taylor is doing really well using her fork and spoon, but some things are just meant to be played with. Below you will find some of her favorite finger foods, although some aren't meant to be finger foods.

Yummy corn. She could eat ears and ears of corn. Good thing we have a large garden full of corn.

Big bite!

Yogurt...it makes a wonderful facial!

Who needs a spoon when little hands can fit just right in these yogurt cups?

Why is everyone laughing at me? Guess I should laugh too.

Miscellaneous Photos

Taylor LOVES to color. Here she is demonstrating her skills while posing for yet another photo. She could color all day, every day. You just have to be careful, she likes to disappear with the crayons and there is no telling where they may end up.

Do you like my purse?

A friend her own size.

Taylor disappeared one afternoon and when I walked into her room to find her, this is what I found... I guess she was trying to tell me it was nap time.

Weekend of Fun

Last Friday, Greg, Diane and Adaeze came to visit us from Denver. We spent the weekend site seeing and taking in all that western Colorado has to offer. Saturday we started with a drive along Owl Creek Pass and stopped at Silverjack Reservoir for some snacks, a beer and some fresh mountain air.

Sunday we ventured to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, where we took in some more amazing views, did some fishing, a bit of hiking, and soaked up some hot sun. It was beautiful and we realized there are a lot of hiking trails that we need to check out come fall when it's not quite as hot.

Monday was my 30th birthday, so everyone said that I got to choose what we did that day. I decided to go to Telluride and catch up with the hollywood stars. We didn't see anyone famous that day, but we sure did have a lot of fun. Saw some of Colorado's best scenery, rode the gondola, had lunch, and did everything tourists should do.

Tuesday, Chris went back to work, so the remainder of us decided to go to Ouray to visit the
Hot Springs Pool. Taylor loved the warm water and was quite the little fish. She really enjoyed swimming and all the people.

It was a whirlwind of a long weekend, but we sure did have a lot of fun. We saw so many amazing views, tons of wildlife, had a lot of laughs and we were all quite relaxed. Taylor was sad to see Adaeze go home...they were good friends by the end of the weekend... they laughed a lot together.

Enjoy all the new photos!

Telluride, CO

In Telluride we rode the gondola and saw some of Colorado's finest views. It takes you from the base of one peak into the Mountain Village and then back. The Mountain Village is the heart of Telluride. That's where all the hotels, condos, spas, restaurants, bars, shops, hollywood stars, etc...are. We weren't lucky enough to run into anyone famous, but it still was a lot of fun. We ended the day with a nice scenic drive home via 4X4 trail and had dinner at the True Grit Cafe in Ridgway. It was a great day...

A view from the gondola as we were going up.

This is the view you see when you get off of the gondola.

Here are some photos from our day at the Black Canyon.

Some Family photos.

Our little hiker!

Taylor was determined to make it up the hill on her own. She did pretty well for her first "hike".

Silverjack Reservoir

A Momma and her babies!!!

Can you see us way up there?

Here is a group photo, minus Diane, at Silverjack Reservoir. It was beautiful up there.

We were at the reservoir on Saturday and could hardly tell it was a weekend. There were very few people which made it feel like we were the only ones there. It was beautiful.

Family photo. Taylor wouldn't look at the camera all day. I think she was tired of all the pictures I kept trying to take. Poor girl.
